http://www.dailymotion.com/JHB1984/video/x8aen6_bmw-k1300s-bj09-akrapovic-auspuff_auto

on the ride itself i can´t make a comment at this time, because the ******* papers won´t come

jo

btw: here some crapy pics of my fathers GT, who have the same issue with his papers  :

thanks for the info and congrats again. so, unless I am missing another thread somewhere, it seems like you got the first K1300S in europe? Right? But since your dad is not a member on this site, we can't count his delivery. So we still are open with the first K1300GT pick up winner. :) S

is that a dealer logo under the K1300S logo on the back of your bike? i think that would make me a little upset to have that on there, personally. but otherwise congrats on the bike! the closer the day comes for me, the more eager i am to get it.

1. the bikes are still at my dealer :(
2. the bikes are not street-legal because of missing papers :(

how did this post land in the GT section :!: :?:

anyway here are some pics of my "halfway" pimped bike

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

after the pics where taken i took the bike for a rode to my workplace.

Temp: -1°C
Road: wet

but boy, even an hour later i can´t get that stupid smile of my face

engine: PERFECT, regardless throttle/no throttle
gearbox:  1st gear in  a little "click" and thats all you will hear
swichgear: works fine + it still turns itself of, time is a little bit longer :)
ESA II: works fine, a little bit harder then on my k12r.
ASC: works fine, maybe little bit better then on my k12r :? it feels "smoother" maybe the better fuel-management :!: :?:
shift-assistant: is a big fat musthave, it will transform your face into this
Akrapovic exhaust: at startup :) after 4000U/min, when the exhaust-valve opens :D after 5000U/min when you shift in the next gear WITH the "shift-assistant" you will get a big fat "BLOB" + a  on your face.

if there are open questions please ask, i will do my best to answer them :)

kind regards
Jo

Hi,

i wouldn´t go with "usefull", better would be:
"they work very very good in their purpose-section.
they can´t cover your ass in all situation´s."

Egads, my fault. I didn't see the S part in your text. Must be old age.
It's going back to its original place.

What exactly do you expect ? We have excellent weather protection and butt warmers. It's always snug when we ride. ;-)

Thank you for your wonderful posts. The Quick Shifter sounds sublime, moto GP style. Would love to use that on the Autobahnen over the border from where you are. I have to say Austria is the most extraordinary beautiful place to live and ride. You appear to have the perfect bike to match the majesty of the landscape. Enjoy every minute of it.
Cheers,
